Flower Punched Eggs

With any fun shaped punch you can create this beautiful eggs in no time!

Materials:

  • Small size decorative punch (I used a flower shape)
  • Pretty paper(s)
  • Sequin straight pins or any short straight pin
  • Smooth foam eggs
  • Thimble
  • Optional: Acrylic paint and sequins

Directions:

I like the look of the smooth foam eggs and you can paint them!  But you could use any foam egg for this project.

Now start punching!!  If you are going to paint your eggs let your paint dry before you start to pin in the paper. Some colors of paint might take two coats. I just took an old tissue box made some small holes, put a toothpick in the egg and painted using to box a the dry rack!

Now that you have the paper punched and your eggs ready, just push a straight pin through the paper shape and push into the egg. The smooth foam is harder to push pins in, you might want to try a thimble.

It is up to you are how close to want to pin the shaped paper.  I did some very close together and other were you could easily see the flower shape, just up to you on the look you like.  Also by painting the eggs it changes to look!

This is a great project to do when you can sit, watch TV and pin away!  They go together fast.

Make sure you really push the pin into the egg!  The smooth foam will hold the pin in tight you will not need to add glue.

Fill a basket or bowl with all the beautiful eggs for a perfect centerpiece or use them as place cards on your holiday table!

If you like a little extra sparkle, pin in a few sequins.

Happy pinning!  Hope you are inspired.
