Holiday Felt Wreath

This beautiful simple wreath is made from felt circles, and can be made in an afternoon.

Materials:

  • Foam Ring (I used12″ ring)
  • Felt 1 1/2 yards
  • Scissors
  • Straight pins: pack with 300 or more (pins with plain heads, no colored tops)
  • 6″ piece of ribbon (for the hanger)
  • 3″ circle pattern

Directions:

Make a 3″ circle pattern from paper or card stock and use your circle pattern cut circles. I cut about 280 circles for mine.  If your scissors are sharp, try cutting 3 to 4 circles at a time.

One circle at a time, fold in half, then fold again.  Push straight pin through tip of felt, then push into the foam ring.  You will want to keep them close together,  try a few to see how close you like them. It took me about one hour to finish.  The great thing about using pins, you can move and adjust the felt pieces, making them closer or change the direction.

To make a hook to hang your wreath, cut a piece of ribbon about 6″ long, using two straight pins make a loop for hanging.

This wreath can be in any color that will go with your color scheme – the possibilities are endless with your fabric and color choi
