These simple little pumpkins are so quick and easy and add that extra charm to your festive table! They can be place cards with a name or display words of things to be thankful for. Maybe even let the children cut & decorate the paper with paint or markers and let them finish the pumpkins with each guest’s name or what they are thankful for.
Materials
- Place card Pumpkin template {DOWNLOAD TEMPLATE PDF HERE}
- Card stock paper (I used orange)
- Card stock paper for name tags (I used green)
- Small hole puncher
- Twine or ribbon
- scissors
- optional: 2″ round circle punch (for name tags)
Directions
Start by downloading the pattern. Trace on cardstock paper. If you only have white card stock, why not let the kids paint the paper orange then trace the pattern?
Cut your pumpkin shape and cut or punch what you will use as the name card. I used a 2″ punch.
Fold up the pumpkin sides, match to stem and a good fold on bottom, both sides. Holding the two sides together, punch a hole where you want your tag to hang.
Have your tags ready with guest and family names, your favorite thankful thought or write something simple like “Give Thanks”. Punch a hole in the tag, run twine or ribbon through both sides of pumpkin and tag, and tie a bow or knot.
Done! Now how simple and festive are these place cards?!
